If you're looking for a rich cherry red gel nail polish, you're in the right place.
This creamy red gel nail color has a timeless look that works year-round, whether you're after an elegant everyday manicure or romantic red gel nails for a special occasion.
In my opinion, red gel polish nails are a few things - they’re classy, bold and beautiful.
I like all the shades of red gel nail colors I’ve tried so far, though some I find myself reaching for more than others.
While they all need a UV gel polish light, and a specific set of base and top coats, the rock hard shell gel manicures form as soon as you’re done are nice.
With gel nails, you can finish your set, and immediately get back to your life. No need to worry about smudging or denting - because gel nail polish cures to a solid shell.
It’s a red polish shade I could see becoming one of my favorites.
This creamy, luxurious red gel nail color is somewhere between a light and dark red shade. It has a glamorous feel.

To complete this manicure, I used the OPI Star Light and cured every coat for 90 seconds.
The owner of Whimsy Nail Co tests her gels with the most budget friendly UV lights on Amazon, so you could likely use any UV gel polish light you have to cure this shade.
She recommends 30-90 seconds for your cure time, depending on your lamp recommendations. I’ve been doing between 60-90 second cures, just because the longer cure gives me peace of mind.
Gel primers are not generally considered necessary, but in my experience, they can help with adhesion, so if you have it available, I would use it.
To prep my nails, I removed prior polish, buffed the nail plate with a buffing stick, followed by lightly shaping the edges with a Germanikure glass file (I like the files with the affirmations), and then I scrubbed my nails with a nail brush, and soap and water.
After scrubbing my nails, I let them dry and moved into the application process on the first hand - Dehydrator, Primer, Base Coat (cure), Color Coat x 2 (cure each time), and Glossy Top Coat (cure).
