Hi, I'm Amanda, the Lead Content Creator behind Lots of Lacquer!
I've been obsessed with nail polish since my parents first let wear it as a teenager.
More than 25 years later, I'm still just as excited by a fresh manicure, a gorgeous new polish collection, and the creativity that comes with experimenting with color.
What started as a personal hobby has grown into a blog where I get to combine everything I love - nail care, photography, writing, and helping others discover nail products that are actually worth trying.
Before launching Lots of Lacquer, I spent years working as an educator in a variety of professional settings.
That experience taught me how to break down techniques, explain the "why" behind the process, and make even detailed topics easy to understand.
I also hold both a B.S. and an M.S. in science, which has shaped the way I approach product reviews and testing.
If you see a product, tool, or technique featured on this site, I've personally tested it myself.
My goal is simple: to give you honest, experience-based recommendations so you can build a nail care routine with confidence.

I've always loved beauty, fashion, and nail art, and after years of creating digital content through my business, Primal Language Productions, I decided it was time to build a website completely dedicated to one of my favorite hobbies.
Since then, Lots of Lacquer has had the opportunity to create content for brands including Beetles Gel, Beyond Polish, Le Mini Macaron, Starrily, Huella Beauty, L.A. Colors, L.A. Girl, and more.
