In this post, you’re going to see a nail polish layering combo that is one of the prettiest I’ve tried yet.

I found this combo when this blog was just beginning and I didn’t have a lot of working capital to buy new inventory, so I was exploring new ways to use old things together.

It’s one of my favorite games to play when I want to buy something new but I’ve already budgeted out my expenses and something new isn’t in the forecast.

Even at times when there’s plenty of money to spend, I still play this game because it helps me get the most out of what I’ve already invested in and acquired.

Have you ever layered two of your polishes together to create a totally new look?

If not, I highly recommend it because as you’ll see below it can work out for beautiful results.

It’s something people normally do with creams and toppers - just use an opaque cream base and a glittery topper.

But you can also do it with sheers - layering 2 sheers can create a whole new color that’s even more beautiful than they are separately.

When you mix OPI Bubble Bath and Put it in Neutral together in one manicure, you combine the best of both worlds.

These two sheer pinks are OPI best sellers and they’re both pretty on their own. OPI Bubble Bath is a warm, sheer peach-pink, and OPI Put it in Neutral is a cool, sheer mauve-pink.

To begin, let’s look at these shades on their own ~

So now that we’ve recapped what these shades look like on their own, it’s time to look at their baby.

And as you can see, you can achieve a gorgeous manicure with each of these colors individually, but when you mix them together in one manicure, the results are even prettier.

The combo of Bubble Bath and Put it in Neutral is a lovely warm-toned sheer mauve nail polish. You could call it a “sunset mauve,” as it looks like the colors of a sunset washed over the nail.

There are only two coats of color required for this OPI Bubble Bath and Put it in Neutral combo manicure: the first layer is Bubble Bath and the second layer is Put it in Neutral.

Finish with your favorite top coat, and you’re done!
