Bubble Bath is one of the bestselling nail polishes from OPI and likewise, mademoiselle is one of the best selling shades from essie. They are both sheer pinks.

In this article, we are going to show you two swatches of Bubble Bath and two swatches of mademoiselle, while showcasing how they are compared.

We are doing this for fun and also for a benefit - to give you a better understanding of what each shade offers so you can make a more informed decision on your purchase.

To get started, we’ll begin with OPI Bubble Bath swatches:

OPI Bubble Bath

OPI Bubble Bath (#NLS86) , shown in two coats, and in the original lacquer formula. Bubble Bath also comes in an up to 11-day wear longwear version known as Infinite Shine Bubble Bath and a nail treatment version known as Nail Envy Bubble Bath.

OPI gives you room with formula variations to expand out your collection with this shade if you really happen to love it.

Bubble Bath is a warm sheer, peach pink that builds opacity as you build in coats. In our review of Bubble Bath, it is shown in three coats, to give you an idea of how much more coverage this shade can offer with more coats.

Offering a clean but polished look, essie mademoiselle (#112) is a cool sheer pink with white undertones. You could call it a milky sheer pink.

Shown in the above photos in two coats, it will get more opaque with more coats, but looks best in up to three coats, where it is still somewhat sheer. In other words, it is definitely a sheer on purpose nail color.

Overall, the differences between OPI Bubble Bath and essie mademoiselle are:

  • Bubble Bath comes with 0.04 more fluid ounces in a bottle
  • Bubble Bath is available in a longwear and treatment formula, mademoiselle is not currently available in other formulas
  • Bubble Bath is a sheer warm pink, mademoiselle is a sheer cool pink

These are both pretty shades and classics for any nail polish collection, especially if you love a good sheer pink.

The only questions would be, does volume matter to you? Do variation options in formula matter to you? And, are you in the mood for a warm or cool pink?

If volume and formula variation matter, plus you are interested in a warm pink, go with OPI Bubble Bath.

If volume and formula variation options don’t matter, and you are really interested in a milky sheer pink, go with essie mademoiselle.
