Bossa Nova is a Brazilian style of music related to samba, which has a relaxing, airy feel and it originates from the 1950s. Chances are if you love cocktail music, you’ll love Bossa Nova.

This music tends to have a romantic, cool jazz energy to it, given the low-key tones and sounds those familiar with the genre can understand.

Being a Bossa Nova, then, is slang for a man who thinks he’s got it going on with the ladies.

OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around is part of OPI’s Infinite Shine Iconic Shades collection. It is also one of the most popular shades that OPI makes. You can find it on the OPI bestsellers page along with other classics, like Bubble Bath.

Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around comes in the standard lacquer formula which promises up to 7 days of wear, and in the Infinite Shine formula, which is a three part system that promises up to 11 days of wear.

In this post, you are seeing swatches of the Infinite Shine version of this shade.

When investing in the Infinite Shine line you get the best deal when you purchase the base and top coat together in a kit like this one, and then add the color in as you need it.

What color is Don't Bossa Nova Me Around?

Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around is defined as a creamy nude.

On the nail, it is a full coverage pink-beige grey, giving a unique twist compared to other neutral shades on the market, which tend to lean more brown or pink.

Is OPI infinite shine worth it?

OPI Infinite Shine can sometimes demand a price-point higher than the standard OPI lacquers, but you can get it at a deal, if you hunt for the sales.

Overall, if you work or do a job that requires you to use your hands, yes OPI Infinite Shine is worth it.

It does last longer than the standard OPI Manicure, but only if you use it with the base coat and top coat, as part of the system.

Longwear polishes, such as Infinite Shine, tend to work best when worn in their 2 or 3 part systems, as the chemicals are designed to cure with each other and that’s what creates a longer-lasting finish.

If you mix and match these polishes, such as using an Infinite Shine shade with a standard Lacquer base coat, all the benefits Infinite Shine guarantees are thrown out the window.

But of course, because you may be in a relaxed Bossa Nova vibe when you’re wearing this shade, this may not matter so much to you and if that’s the case, no shame, no blame.

All in all, this neutral grey pink beige is a work appropriate shade that can be worn in professional settings in addition to cocktail settings.
