Dutch Tulips #NLL60 is one of OPI’s oldest colors still in production and it’s easy to see why. It’s a rich, pink-leaning red that technically falls in the realm of magenta.

Because it is such a legacy in OPI’s color collections, Dutch Tulips has made quite the name for itself.

You often see Dutch Tulips promoted everywhere in the spring and summer months - it’s easy to promote, because it’s just that pretty.

As a formula, it offers even coverage in one coat, but when you stop there you can still see your nail tips, if you have them.

Two coats gives it a fuller, smoother coverage, so that is how you’ll likely wear it.

Below, Dutch Tulips is shown in two coats in the photos, followed by comparisons with three other popular nail shades similar to it -

Now for the comparisons…

watermelon #264 is a near exact match to Dutch Tulips!

If you have one you may not need the other unless you really like this color.

The main difference between them is that Dutch Tulips is a bit redder and watermelon is a bit pinker.

These two look very similar on the nail (see above), however, the formulas themselves do differ significantly.

Dutch Tulips is a deep pink that leans red, whereas Big Apple Red is a pure red polish.

These colors are warm-weather favorites that are both spin-offs of pure red. Dutch Tulips is a deep pink-red, whereas Cajun Shrimp is a bright orange-red.

All in all, Dutch Tulips is a long-standing color in OPI’s collection for a reason: it really is beautiful.

Other similar colors, like essie watermelon, OPI Big Apple Red and Get OPI Cajun Shrimp are just as beautiful, however the closest match to Dutch Tulips is essie watermelon.

For best results, wear these polishes with a base and top coat. Check out my favorite high performing base and top coats on Amazon.
