This 90s nostalgic themed collection plays off of aesthetics that were popular at the time, like the grunge fashion look.
Do you remember grunge?
Grunge is a fashion trend that seemed to revolve around the bands Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and many more.
I think of it as a mix between punk, goth and folk fashion.
Thrifted clothes, soft silhouettes and textures that blend outdoorsy looks with vintage staples. Grunge glam is a lived in look.
Soft grunge and dark grunge inspired beauty looks are in for Fall 2025, so OPI has perfect timing with this release.
Based on the Pinterest Fall Trend Forecast, searches for “grungey glam,” are up 70-650% depending on the category.
This collection isn’t just grunge though. It encompasses 90s nostalgia in general but this aesthetic is named in one of the polishes specifically.

Let’s get to the swatches.
OPI Slip Dressed Up
Shown in 2 coats, this is a gorgeous warm rusty red creme. I love brick red polishes like this so this could be my new favorite autumn red.
OPI Band Tease
Shown in 2 coats, this is a rich, dark chocolate brown with bronze shimmer. The bronze is more on the copper side rather than gold, so it has a wonderful warmth to it.
OPI Flannel Aerobics
Shown in 2 coats, this color is opaque in the first coat but it really smoothes out in the second coat.
In bright lighting, it’s a dusty rose with mauve undertones. In darker, shadier lighting, it looks more like a mauvey mid-tone brown. It’s a gorgeous fall neutral.
OPI Penny Loafer Lane
Shown in 2 coats, this is a cozy marigold yellow with rusty orange undertones. In low lighting, it looks like caramel.
This one has a buttery smooth application and it dries down quickly.
OPI Cargo All Out
Shown in 2 coats, this cool army green cream applies luxuriously - with almost no effort at all, it dries level and smooth.
Cargo All Out is a gorgeous silky, deep cool green. I really enjoy the color and essence of this shade.
OPI Bubblegum Goth
Shown in 3 coats, you could wear this in 2 and I have, but I wanted to see how the color built up. In 2 coats, it is more of a medium coverage jelly but with the same bright, warm flamingo pink coverage.
This is one of the prettiest fall pinks I’ve ever seen. Most of the time, fall pink polishes have a dusty rose or terracotta tone - not this one.
It’s ideal for those warm and sunny, ‘second summer’ days before real fall sets in.
OPI Crimp And Proper
Shown in 2 coats, this moody lavender cream is nearly opaque in 1 coat.
It’s a surprise beauty because it looks more gray in the bottle but it definitely has more lavender on the nails.
This shade is one of the most popular of those I’ve shown from this collection on Instagram.
OPI Baby Tee-l
Shown in 2 coats, this dark, blue toned teal green is nearly opaque in 1 coat. The color saturation on this is excellent and I love it as the focal color point of an outfit - for example, I wore it with black.
OPI Suzi’s Pager
Shown in 2 coats, this is a warm gray creme that looks almost green tinted in some lighting. It’s perfect for neutral, warm and olive skin tones.
OPI Totally Red-ical
Shown in 2 coats, this is a bright, orangey red cream. If you like fiery reds, as in peppery, as I do, this one is for you.
OPI Grunge Queen
Shown in 2 coats, this dark chocolate brown is filled with orange to red flakie glitters. It has a cozy, late night feel to it.
OPI Baggy Jean Baby
Shown in 2 coats, this is a casual, light powder blue creme polish. It’s designed to remind you of your favorite pair of lived-in jeans.
So, which of these colors is your favorite of the collection?
It’s hard for me to choose because they’re all so pretty, but I’ve seen a lot of interest in Slip Dressed Up, Band Tease, Flannel Aerobics, Penny Loafer Lane, Crimp and Proper, and Cargo All Out.
