Pink nails with glitter. The recipe to success, especially on a sunny day, is sometimes a little dash of sparkle.
When you add glitter to anything, it increases the reflection of light and therefore the amount of shine and dazzle coming from your nails. Shine and dazzle can make people happy, the primary person of importance being you.
OPI Princesses Rule! is a twist on the classic sheer pink nail polish, it’s a sheer pink nail polish with a dash of glitter.
OPI makes many of their nail polishes in more than one formula type, including Princesses Rule!
Most of the time, the color stays the same across formulas. Although, with Princesses Rule! we have found that the exact pink sparkle is different between the two formulas available to home manicure enthusiasts.

Both swatches above are done with a base coat, two coats of color and a top coat.
Both formulas are pretty and sparkle in the sun, however there are some differences between the original formula and the longwear formula:
- Princesses Rule! original formula does have a shorter wear time on average and it is a richer, warmer pink.
- Princesses Rule! Infinite Shine (longwear formula) has a longer wear time on average and it is a more pale, frosty pink.
All in all, if you love pink nails, and are especially fond of pink nails with glitter, both of these colors are worthy in your collection. Due to their differences, they can both hold their weight as distinctly different pinks that can be appropriate for different occasions.
