Lots of Lacquer is about fun through the joys of a fresh manicure and pedicure, which means we love to party, especially when that party is happening on the nails.

Any reason to celebrate is reason enough for us to break out a celebration mani-pedi. It rarely matters which holiday it is.

If there’s a holiday happening, there’s a party happening, and there’s a manicure for that. This phrase is definitely part of our core ethos.

In the United States where we are based, the summer is filled with Patriotic, flag flying holidays, which means there are plenty of opportunities to wear the colors of the American flag on your nails.

Each Patriotic holiday is a potential reason for a party, whether you are doing it with family, friends or just solo, you can celebrate with a fresh new festive manicure and pedicure.

Since this website is based in the United States and the majority of our audience is based in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, we are focusing on the red, white and blue colors featured in the flags of those countries.

Below you will find an OPI red, white and blue nail polish to go with the rest of your holiday plans.

OPI Big Apple Red

OPI Big Apple Red (#NLN25) shown above in two coats and in the original lacquer formula is a bright, bold true red. It was first featured in our review of this vibrant color last fall and in 2015, it was the highest ranked red nail color. How cool is that?

It’s a thin formula, so remember to keep your cuticle touch up brush handy and a little goes a long way with this one, meaning you really get your money’s worth with this bottle.

OPI Infinite Shine Funny Bunny

OPI Infinite Shine Funny Bunny (#ISLH22) is shown in two coats and in the longwear formula. This shade also comes in dip powder and the original nail lacquer. When we reviewed Funny Bunny last fall it’s in the original formula.

No matter which formula suits you, it’s a milky, sheer white shade that is a twist from your classic bright opaque whites normally featured for summer holidays. If you like white nail polish, but prefer a softer, sheer look, this shade is for you.

OPI Isn’t it Grand Avenue

OPI Isn’t it Grand Avenue (#NLLA07) is from the Fall 2021 Downtown LA Collection.

Downtown Los Angeles (LA being the acronym for Los Angeles) is famous for its proximity to the Hollywood neighborhood, also called Tinseltown, home to the American film industry.

Isn’t it Grand Avenue is a dark, cream finish navy blue, that is fully opaque in two coats. It looks awesome on the fingers as well as the toes, and it dries quickly, so you can get back to partying ASAP.

Okay, so there you have it. An OPI red, white and blue to consider for your Patriotic party plans, whatever they turn out to be.

All these shades are wonderful, and offer covering in two coats, so which one you choose honestly depends on your specific mood and inkling.

Looking forward to seeing your Patriotic nails at a backyard barbecue, pool party or coastal getaway soon,
