Hi, I’m Amanda, the Lead Content Creator at Lots of Lacquer!
With 25+ years of personal experience in nail care and nail art, plus professional online writing experience and photography dating back to 2012, I bring practical knowledge in product testing, product photography and clear communication to every blog post.
Before blogging, I worked as an educator across government, academic and nonprofit settings, which sharpened my ability to explain techniques, methods and processes in ways that are easy to follow and grounded in experience.
I hold 2 science degrees, a B.S. and an M.S., and personally test every product and technique featured on the blog to ensure readers get honest, experience-driven recommendations they can trust. My goal is to help you make informed decisions about your nail care routine with confidence.

Lots of Lacquer is a family-run team of nail enthusiasts based in the Greater Philadelphia area.
We love where we live, and we’re real people who create nail content inspired by our own nail care collections, our community and the beauty and fashion trends we see around us.
This site began in early 2021 as a dream to create a website based purely on passion and fun - a positive, trustworthy space for anyone who loves nails, beauty, creativity, and color.
With a life-long interest in beauty, fashion and nail art culture, and an existing knowledge of digital content creation through my business Primal Language Productions, we set out to build what you see here - a virtual place centered around sharing the excitement of a fresh mani-pedi.
Since launching this blog, Lots of Lacquer has proudly created content for brands like Beetles Gel, Beyond Polish, Le Mini Macaron, Starrily, Huella Beauty, L.A. Colors, L.A. Girl and more! We’re very grateful to work with brands we personally use, test and enjoy.
