In this post, you will see two swatches of Bubble Bath and two swatches of Bare My Soul, both in standard lacquer formula, to showcase the similarities and differences of these shades.

OPI Bubble Bath is a reader favorite. It’s also a personal favorite - I’ve tried this shade in a variety of different formula types as it is so versatile.

OPI Bare My Soul is a wedding season favorite. Both of these colors are technically sheer pinks. Both are made by OPI. Both look good in two coats.

Before we dive in, do you have a favorite sheer nail polish?

If not, one of these shades could become it. I get so many compliments anytime I wear either color and they do create different looks, so there is space for both of them in your collection.

To start comparing these colors, below are both colors, shown in two coats with a clear base and a clear top coat.

Starting with our reigning champ, OPI Bubble Bath

OPI Bubble Bath

Bubble Bath NLS86 has been covered on Lots of Lacquer before.

It’s been compared to essie ballet slippers and reviewed alone. An OPI bestseller, Bubble Bath is a medium coverage sheer warm peachy pink.

OPI Bare My Soul

Bare My Soul NLSH4 is from the 2019 Always Bare For You wedding season collection.

It’s a light coverage sheer mauve-brown pink. Given Bare My Soul’s sheerness and neutrality, it can make a great base color coat for nail art.

The main differences between OPI Bubble Bath and OPI Bare My Soul are:
  • Bubble Bath is a medium coverage sheer, where Bare My Soul is a light coverage sheer

  • Bubble Bath is more of a peachy pink, Bare My Soul is more of a mauve-brown pink

  • Bubble Bath looks great alone, Bare My Soul looks great alone and as a base for nail art

Overall, both of these shades are pink, classy sheers. They would equally fit the bill for a “done, but not over done” manicure look.

However…

If you are looking for a sheerer, more neutral pink, go with OPI Bare My Soul.

If you are looking for more coverage with a color pop on the nail, go with OPI Bubble Bath.

For best results, pair these shades with the OPI base and top coat or the long-wearing OPI Infinite Shine base and top coat.
