Do you like bright, joyful nail polish colors? Do you also like red and pink polish shades?

Are you a fan of warm toned nail polishes?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’re in the right place.

In today’s post, you’re going to see a comparison between two of the best bright shades from OPI.

OPI Cajun Shrimp is one of our readers’ favorite reds - it’s right up there next to Big Apple Red.

OPI Strawberry Margarita is another favorite, and though dominated by pink tones, it’s just as bright and cheerful as Cajun Shrimp.

Because these are both bright OPI colors in the pink-red color group and in the creme family, they are commonly compared to each other, so today we’re going to show you the similarities and differences between Cajun Shrimp and Strawberry Margarita.

I’ve swatched and worn both of these colors, enjoyed both of them, because of their shared warm tones, but they are distinct shades, equally worthy of our appreciation.

They’re in two different OPI formulas: Cajun Shrimp is shown in the standard Nail Lacquer formula, where Strawberry Margarita is shown in the long wear Infinite Shine formula.

You can get both colors in either formula, so in this comparison, mainly pay attention to color similarities and differences, not the formulas.

To begin, you’ll see Cajun Shrimp swatches, then Strawberry Margarita swatches, ending with two final comparison photos, with Cajun Shrimp shown on the top in all images.

Starting with OPI Cajun Shrimp swatches:

All in all, both Cajun Shrimp and Strawberry Margarita have these things in common:

  • Opaque in two coats (shown)

  • Creme finish

  • Vibrant, bright shades

  • Available in standard or long wear lacquer formulas

  • Made by OPI

They are different in that Cajun Shrimp is a coral red with pink tones, while Strawberry Margarita is a definite bright warm pink.

You could call Cajun Shrimp a “tomato red,” and Strawberry Margarita a neon or hot pink.
