The silver pearl swirl gives the nail polish a cool-toned, high level of reflection.
It’s opaque in one coat, yet it really plumps up and gives the smoothest coverage in two coats.
In two coats, it totally hides any bumps, ridges or unevenness on the nail bed.
You can easily apply it while paying little attention to how it works out, watching your favorite television show, talking on the phone or researching whatever brings you joy on the internet, and it still turns out perfectly.
In other words, it’s one of those nail polishes that might make you wonder how it could be any easier, any better with any other formula.
You might consider that perhaps this red is truly a great red.
Let’s dive into this color.
Starting with OPI Red swatches:
Now on to the comparisons:
OPI Red VS Dutch Tulips
OPI Red is a cool, deeper red with a faint silver shimmer finish. Dutch Tulips is a warm, lighter, pinkish red with a cream finish.
OPI Red VS Big Apple Red
OPI Red is cool, blue-toned deep red with a faint silver shimmer finish. Big Apple Red is a warm, bright red with a cream finish.
All in all OPI Red is a deeper, richer red than both Dutch Tulips and Big Apple Red. You could almost call OPI Red a light burgundy.
It is the only one of the bunch with a silver shimmer which creates a gorgeous, cool shine in the finish.
This cool silver shine gives OPI Red a glamorous feel and look.
