Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Unicorn Top Coat VS Crystal Top Coat

Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel line is one of the most internet-searched nail polish lines that exists in the world today. 

It’s a long-wearing nail polish that’s available at “drugstore” prices, and not only that, they are constantly releasing new, fresh colors in that line.

You can find unique nail lacquer formulas in the Miracle Gel line, and their new line of special effect top coats is definitely that.

These toppers are so pretty in the bottle and they add an extra layer of sparkly to your manicure.

Today you’ll see swatches of 2 Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coats, the Unicorn Top Coat and the Crystal Top Coat. They are both designed to be sheer and worn over a fuller coverage polish, so you’ll see these toppers over Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Fuchsia Fever, a neon hot pink.

Overall, the Unicorn Top Coat is a light greenish gold topper which gives the nail a warm toned micro shimmer.

Whereas the Crystal Top Coat is a red and orange “fall leaf” topper with much more distinct glitters.

For best results using Sally Hansen Miracle Gel: 

Pair either of these top coats with the other formulas in the Miracle Gel system.

They dry with the hardest finish when you wear them with the matching Miracle Gel Step 1 Color.

If you’re looking for finer iridescent glitter, go with the Unicorn Top Coat. If you’re looking for a flakie iridescent glitter, go with the Crystal Top Coat. Note: Sally Hansen recently released a Miracle Gel Primer/Base Coat for an even longer wear time, but the Miracle Gel line was originally designed as a long wear system with only 2 bottles: Step 1 (the color) and Step 2 (the top coat) - no base coat required.

So you can add the primer or not. If you choose not - just make sure to clean, dry and prep your nails really well.
