In this post, you’re going to see swatches of one of the brightest, warmest, most fiery reds out there.
When I first built my collection of nail polishes, this shade was on my list as a must-have.
It’s a cult-classic and a fan favorite from the brand, plus it’s a great red for my skin type, warm light olive.
So when the time was right, I went ahead and added it to my collection.
I’m now a lover of the shade right alongside everyone else and through this blog, I hope you’ll become a fan too.
To get an idea of what this color looks like, below are four geranium swatches -
essie geranium, shown in 2 coats:
The formula:
Glides on smoothly, it’s not too thin or thick
Is self-leveling, for totally smooth lines out to your nail’s edges
Even coverage is achievable in 1 coat, albeit more of a jelly finish
geranium is a bright, punchy, red-orange cream that’s a tiny touch translucent. If you have nail tips, they may peek through at certain angles and lighting situations.
If you love geranium so much you need to expand to another shade for joy-promoting reasons, a similar color to essie geranium is OPI’s Cajun Shrimp.
They are both coral reds, yet Cajun Shrimp has more pink tones and geranium has more bold, bright orange-red tones.
To end, geranium is a perfect warm summer red, and whether you call it coral, poppy or any other color name, it is positively eye-catching.
It is a beautiful, bright red. It’s chic, charming and cheerful.
All the hype is justified - it’s a winner.
