OPI’m a Bubble Bunny, the highly anticipated polish release that’s part of the OPIcons Spring 2026 Collection is finally here!

I squealed when I first found out it was being released this spring and every day since, I looked forward to it arriving, an excitement that has stayed with me even as I wear it now.

This 45th year anniversary collection is dedicated to remixing all of OPI’s most beloved shades over the years and this shade is certainly a beloved one.

OPI’m a Bubble Bunny is a blend of OPI Bubble Bath and OPI Funny Bunny, two shades that have been fan favorites for about 2 decades as individual colors.

OPI Bubble Bath was released in 2001/2002 in the SoftShades Bridal/Sheer Romance Collections and OPI Funny Bunny came out in 2007 as part of the Garden Party Collection.

For the past few years, we’ve been sharing custom mixed blends of these shades in: OPI Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny Combo and OPI Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny Mixed.

You have loved these blogs, with OPI Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny Combo, being in our top #5 blogs since it was released.

So I knew that when OPI finally came out with the bottled, blended version, you would love that.

These blogs feature the DIY methods of making “Bubble Bunny”; you could either layer the shades or blend them 50/50 in a single empty bottle - or if you’re using gel, on a paint mixing plate.

We’re not the only ones that shared and loved this combo, though.

Other nail polish lovers like us have been creating and sharing their own versions of this blend online, and thus, a long-standing trend was born.

This is why today I’m sharing with you swatches of this brand new shade from OPI that has been worth the wait.

Shown in 2 coats, OPI’m a Bubble Bunny is a cool milky pink sheer.

If you are a fan of the Strawberry Milk Nails Trend or simply love pink and white polish hybrids that make your nails look like a soft French Manicure but without all the work, this shade is it.

As far as which of the best qualities it has adopted from its parents - it takes on the cool soft white of OPI Funny Bunny, and the sheer neutral pink of OPI Bubble Bath.

It’s not as warm as it could’ve been and that’s okay, it’s perfect as is.

It’s such a lovely harmony, and it looks so elegant.

My ultimate assessment, as someone who tries a lot of sheer pink shades, is this shade is everything I’d wished it would be, perhaps it’s even a little better than I hoped because of how nicely it applies, more on that below.

While I also like the homemade version we’ve been featuring, the new, bottled blend is more economical. Rather than buying two bottles to make one shade, you just buy one bottle.

Application Technique:

For best results, apply this shade as you would any sheer nail color.

Start with your favorite base coat. If you have ridged nails like I do, I found applying 2 coats of base coat made it much easier to glide this color over the nail.

Use the float technique for the color - place a healthy bead of polish on the top of the nail, and glide the brush down the nail, using pillow-like parallel strokes.

Paint softly and delicately; imagine you’re painting a cloud.

Finish with your favorite top coat - I have been liking long-wearing top coats lately, but it’s up to you.

The formula dried quickly with a streak free finish.

It’s available in standard lacquer (shown), GelColor and Dip Powder.

If it’s out of stock when you go to get it, as it was when I first started looking for it, simply add your name to the email notifications and you’ll be messaged right away when it’s restocked.

Beyond Polish restocks quickly.

Whenever I have gotten on the email list for a shade, especially new releases, sometimes it’s an hour, sometimes it’s a day or so, but it’s not long at all.

If you have loved making the OPI Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny combo for the past few years, you simply love both of these shades already, or you adore milky pink sheers, I’m confident you’ll feel this color is worth any wait too.

Don’t want to wait if there is one?

A little hack I like is to check if the shade is available in a gift set - like the 4 Piece Mini Pack or the Valentine’s Day Duo.

Sure you will then have other colors, but on the bright side, you can potentially use the spare polishes for gifting or try shades you normally may not have, opening up the door for new favorites.

As we end, what do you think it means to be a “Bubble Bunny”?

Do you think we could define it like this?

Bubble Bunny (noun, playful slang):

A delightfully bouncy human who radiates sunshine energy, part bubbly personality, part cute charm, like a cartoon Kawaii rabbit hopping on sparkling water.

Usually spotted bringing good vibes, contagious laughter, and an uncanny ability to make any room feel lighter. A cheeky nickname for someone who’s extra cheerful and soft-hearted.

I’m willing to embody the vibe of the color, if that’s how we might define it.

Thank you OPI for creating this gorgeous shade! Thank you Beyond Polish for sending it to share and thank you, especially, for reading this far ~
