Earlier this year, February 2026 to be exact, OPI finally bottled what nail lovers had already perfected: the iconic OPI Bubble Bath Funny Bunny mix.

Yes, the Bubble Bath Funny Bunny combo - the one behind the viral Bubble Bunny nails. It officially became a one-bottle shade with OPI’m a Bubble Bunny.

But here’s the thing: this look was never just about the bottle, though we are all extraordinarily grateful to now have it.

It all started with our custom combo method.

For years, we’ve been layering OPI Funny Bunny and OPI Bubble Bath to get that perfect balance of sheer pink nails and milky white nails - aka the ultimate rich girl/old money nails, with the ideal balance of milky pink.

I personally love the quiet luxury nail trend because the shades you use for it look polished, effortless, and they pair with any outfit.

If you’re confused about these trend names, don’t be. They are interchangeable.

The rich girl, old money and quiet luxury nail trends are all labels that speak to the same idea - nails focusing on a minimalist, expensive looking manicure - neutral, sheer or soft and understated.

Popular shades for the rich girl nail trend are milky white, soft blush pink, warm nude, light taupe or beige and rich browns.

So in reality, rich girl nails don’t need to be soft sheer pinks or milky whites, though that is usually what you’ll see.

You can customize your specific rich girl nail hue, by choosing a tone one shade lighter or darker than your natural skin tone, so your nails are subtle and glossy, yet deliberate.

A few general rules though, some key features of rich girl/mom, old money nails are: short to medium-length nails, soft square, round, or almond shapes, glossy, sheer, or neutral tones, immaculate cuticle care, and healthy, hydrated nail beds.

The idea is to have nails that look flawless, polished and refined, but not flashy.

And as you can see, OPI’m a Bubble Bunny fits right into this color story and thankfully, Beyond Polish gifted us this shade to share with you before it sold out for all retailers everywhere.

Here are a few photos of it to refresh your memory of how gorgeous it is:

Since it has now been sold out for months right after launch, a still ongoing situation, we all went right back to our original Bubble Bath Funny Bunny hack.

I also picked up a few alternative shades I thought would provide a similar effect.

How to Recreate Bubble Bunny Nails (The Original Hack)

If you’re wondering how to recreate Bubble Bunny nails, this is the exact Bubble Bunny nail combo recipe that started it all.

Whether you are waiting on a restock, simply want to try the trend that started it all, or have these two shades already and would rather not buy more so you can use what you have, this combo is worth a try.

The Classic Bubble Bath Funny Bunny Gel Combo

  • 2 coats of Funny Bunny

  • 1 coat of Bubble Bath

This Bubble Bath Funny Bunny gel combo gives you that soft, glossy finish that sits right between natural pink and white gel nails and a sheer milky white gel nails look.

It’s subtle, it's buildable and it’s still one of the best gel combo ideas for a milky pink gel finish.

Shown below, both GelColor Funny Bunny and Bubble Bath were gifted by Beyond Polish so we could share this look with you.

Customize Your Bubble Bunny Nails

If you’ve ever asked:

  • What do I mix for a Bubble Bath Funny Bunny look?

  • How do I get Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny nails?

Here are a few variations to try, in bottom to top order:

  • 1 Funny Bunny + 1 Bubble Bath

  • 1 Funny Bunny + 2 Bubble Bath

  • 2 Funny Bunny + 1 Bubble Bath (my favorite, shown above)

  • 1 Funny Bunny, 1 Bubble Bath, 1 Funny Bunny

  • 2 Bubble Bath + 1 Funny Bunny

Playing with these layering methods is where your DIY Bubble Bath Funny Bunny nails can really shine - you can tweak the ratio depending on how sheer or milky you want your finish.

Why This Gel Combo Still Wins

Even with a bottled version, the Bubble Bath Funny Bunny gel layering technique is still trending hard, especially with the rise of:

  • neutral gel nail combos

  • clean girl nails

  • rich girl nail trends

It’s minimal but intentional - polished without trying too hard. It’s an elegant look that goes with every outfit.

And if you’ve been searching for the best gel combo for milky white nails or how to DIY Bubble Bunny nails at home - this is it.

A Soft White-Pink Alternative: OPI Let’s Be Friends!

Let’s Be Friends! leans more opaque and slightly whiter, but still falls beautifully into the strawberry milk, milky pink nail trend.

I picked this one up when Bubble Bunny was out of stock when I first went looking for it, because it is another pinkish white I’ve loved for years and I knew I could count on it.
