Essie just released its brand new Liquid Diamonds Collection, and if you’re a sparkle-lover, this launch is worthy of your attention.

Before we dive in though, an editor’s note:

Essie recently started rebranding the capitalization style of its polish names, along with a soft rebrand of the Gel Couture line to “Gel by Essie” (though the bottles themselves still say gel couture).

In some places, the brand still uses the classic all-lowercase “essie” logo, while in others they’ve started capitalizing it as “Essie.”

You’ll notice older blog posts here still use the original lowercase styling.

For now, we’ll gradually update future posts to reflect the newer brand font formatting while leaving older content as-is for consistency and ease.

Back to the feature collection…

The collection features 8 “diamond-dusted” shades in the Gel by Essie formula, designed to give nails an ultra-reflective shimmer finish with long-lasting, gel-like wear.

No UV lamp is needed, and you can get up to 15 days of wear when you reapply the top coat around day 7.

Though, I usually take it off after around 7 days because I’m ready for a color change by then.

The shades in the Liquid Diamonds Collection are:
  • Baby Carats — a chestnut brown with golden shimmer

  • Black Diamond — a black polish with green and blue pearl

  • Drip Drip — a white shimmer with satin chrome and pearl

  • Emerald Cut — a teal shimmer with deep blue shifting pearl

  • Frost Yourself — an iridescent blush pink with gold shifting pearl

  • Ice Ice Navy — a dark sapphire blue with deep blue pearl

  • Marquise Please — a rich brown with warm red and bronze pearl

  • Size Me Up — a burgundy red with silver and blue pearl

What instantly stands out about this collection is that it fully commits to shimmer.

I’ve often privately called my nail polish collection my “liquid jewels,” and this collection brings that idea to life beautifully.

There isn’t a single creme shade in sight — just sparkling, light-catching, sunlight-glistening finishes.

Essie officially started promoting the collection around May 6, 2026, though I actually spotted bottles showing up in nail supply stores near me in early March.

It definitely feels like a spring-to-summer launch.

To get a feel for the collection, we picked up Frost Yourself — and it might be one of the prettiest pink shimmers Essie has released in a while.

Frost Yourself is a sheer blush pink filled with fine iridescent shimmer and soft gold sparkle. In direct sunlight, it almost glows, giving nails a glossy, fairy-kissed effect that makes you keep staring at your hands.

Have you ever worn a nail polish that captures your full attention when someone is speaking to you?

“I’m sorry, what were you saying again? Look at these nails…”

This nail polish is totally how I felt wearing it. It’s captivating.

The formula looks delicate and ethereal indoors, but once the sun hits it, the shimmer completely transforms to become even more heavenly.

It shifts warmer and brighter in direct light, while indirect sunlight brings out cooler mauve-pink tones that make the polish surprisingly multi-dimensional.

All of the photos below show Frost Yourself in 2 coats, photographed outdoors in both direct and indirect sunlight so you can really see the shift.

I took the first set of photos with full mid-day sun shining directly onto my nails, then turned so the sunlight was behind my nails for the second set.

The difference in tone and sparkle is subtle but really beautiful in person.

This is such a fun warm-weather shimmer — soft, glowy, sparkly, and incredibly wearable.

If you love super shimmery nail polishes that still feel classy, elegant and easy to wear every day, Frost Yourself absolutely delivers on these expectations.

Burts Bees Lemon and Vitamin E Body Oil

For the photos, I also used a cuticle oil beforehand to make everything look extra glossy and hydrated.

Lately, I’ve been enjoying Burt’s Bees Lemon & Vitamin E Body Oil. It’s not sold as cuticle oil, but it works for that.

I love that you get a generous amount for the price, it smells amazing, and you can use it all over your body — not just on your nails and cuticles.

A little goes a long way, and if you over do it, it’s okay. I’ve done that many times and moisturized my arms, elbows and shoulders too.

Ready for your nails to shimmer and glow in this warmer weather we’re enjoying?
