OPI has been in business since 1989 - that’s 36 years.

Throughout the life of their business, they’ve released many shades, but some have become so iconic that they’ve stood the test of time.

While many of the earlier shades are no longer in production, there are a few OPI original colors that are still on the roster and we’re going to dive into these colors in this post.

Below you will find OPI nail colors from the early era of 1989 to 1999 that are still on the market.

Of course, the formulas have been changed since then to match today’s performance standards, but the shades themselves are classic, lovely and sophisticated.

The first 5 OPI nail colors below are from the original launch collection.

Then, we’ll move into the original shades through the 1990s that you can still buy new.
