I last featured this shade in both OPI Love is in the Bare: The Sheer Pink Worth the Wait and OPI Love is in the Bare and Bubble Bath Combo.
It’s a sheer pink nail color that I had on my wishlist for a few years before I tried it and I’m glad I did. It’s a very flattering shade that’s appropriate for clean girl or lip gloss nails, every day minimalist looks and even bridal nails.
It’s versatile and lovely in every application I’ve tried it in so far.
I’m going to be wearing it again soon for an upcoming event where I need “corporate nails,” so I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this bottle.
That said, Love is in the Bare is not the only beautiful sheer nail color in a GelColor formula from OPI. There’s also the icons, Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny, which are equally gorgeous in their own right.
So in this post, you’ll see a comparison between these 3 sheer GelColors from OPI to help you choose the best one for you, right now.
Let’s start with swatches of OPI GelColor Love is in the Bare.

OPI GelColor Love is in the Bare VS OPI GelColor Bubble Bath
Comparatively, OPI GelColor Love is in the Bare is cooler, with a touch more milky white to it.
All in all, Love is in the Bare is a cooler toned pink compared to Bubble Bath. Both are designed to be sheer.
In a previous post, linked above, I combined these shades by layering them together to create a custom neutral pink nail color with equal parts cool and warm. It turned out beautifully.
Now let’s explore Love is in the Bare compared to Funny Bunny.
OPI GelColor Love is in the Bare VS OPI GelColor Funny Bunny
All in all, while both of these shades do wear sheerly on the nail, OPI GelColor Funny Bunny is a white based shade, whereas OPI GelColor Love is in the Bare is a pink based shade.
I am currently planning to combine these shades actually, with Funny Bunny as a base, and Love is in the Bare on top, to bring out more milky tones in the pink - I’ll post that here on the blog when I get there.
Okay, so all in all, which sheer do you like the best?
Compared to OPI GelColor Love is in the Bare….
OPI GelColor Bubble Bath is a warmer toned sheer pink
OPI GelColor Funny Bunny is a sheer, soft white
Neither are exactly the same!
If you’re looking for a cool, sheer pink with a touch of milkiness:
If you’re looking for a warm sheer pink:
And if you’re looking for a classic sheer white:
Or… you could get them all and have fun layering them.

It’s completely up to you however you mix and match the shades, but let’s get back to the focus of this post - how Love is in the Bare compared to these sheer GelColors from OPI.
Between both compared shades, Bubble Bath is the most similar as it shares the pinkness of Love is in the Bare, but it is still warmer. And yes, you can layer them to blend the tones to create something totally unique, if you desire.
