OPI Love is in the Bare + Funny Bunny Combo

Today we're looking at one of my favorite custom gel manicure combinations yet - a beautiful blend of OPI Love is in the Bare and OPI Funny Bunny.
If you've been following along, you know I love experimenting with custom OPI GelColor combinations. Some of my most popular manicures have been simple layered shades that create an entirely new look.
Of course, the longtime favorite is OPI Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny.
Even though OPI recently released a pre-blended version inspired by that iconic combination, the original layering technique is still a favorite among nail lovers.
Another combination that's quickly become popular is OPI Love is in the Bare and Bubble Bath, which I shared earlier this spring.
Today, though, we're trying something a little different and I think it may be one of my favorite bridal nail combinations yet.
Why I Tried Love is in the Bare and Funny Bunny
I actually discovered this manicure while searching for the perfect bridal nails for my own upcoming wedding.
Originally, I planned on wearing a soft ombré French manicure, so I started experimenting with different sheer pinks and milky whites.
While testing combinations, I blended Love is in the Bare with Funny Bunny and immediately fell in love with the result.
The finished manicure is soft, elegant, and incredibly natural.
It gives your nails that clean, elegant look with just enough brightness at the tips to create a subtle gradient.
If you're looking for a wedding manicure, engagement photos, bridal shower nails, or simply an everyday neutral gel manicure, this combination is definitely worth trying.

Here's how the finished manicure looks:
Supplies You'll Need
To recreate this manicure, you'll need:
Once you have everything ready, settle into your manicure space, turn on your favorite show, and grab your favorite drink. This technique is relaxing and surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it.
How to Create This Soft Ombré Gel Manicure
Work one hand at a time.
Apply OPI GelColor Base Coat and cure for 30 seconds.
Apply one thin coat of Love is in the Bare and leave it uncured.
Apply Funny Bunny only to the tips, leaving it uncured.
Using your ombré brush, gently tap the white upward until it's softly blended about halfway up the nail. Cure for 30 seconds.
Repeat the process with another thin coat of Love is in the Bare.
Add Funny Bunny to the tips again.
Blend upward until the white softly diffuses almost to the cuticle, creating a seamless gradient. Cure for 30 seconds.
Finish with one final thin coat of Love is in the Bare and cure for 30 seconds.
Apply OPI GelColor Top Coat and cure for another 30 seconds.
Remove the inhibition layer using a lint-free wipe saturated with alcohol.
Repeat on your other hand.
Why This Combination Works So Well
Unlike many of my previous custom OPI combinations that rely on layering one polish over another, this look is created by blending the colors together directly on the nail before curing.
One of the biggest reasons I love working with gel polish is that nothing dries until you're ready. You can take your time blending, softening, and perfecting the transition before curing, making it much easier to achieve a smooth ombré effect.
For the prettiest finish, keep most of the Funny Bunny concentrated near the tips while gently pulling it upward. Then feather the Love is in the Bare downward from the cuticle.
The result is an incredibly soft gradient that looks even prettier in person than it does in photos.

Yes! Rather than blending the color on the nail, the most popular layering technique is 2 coats Funny Bunny on the bottom with 1 coat of Love is in the Bare on the top. Cure between every coat.
You may also like 1 coat Funny Bunny on the bottom and 1 coat Love is in the Bare on the top.
What’s fun about layering nail shades is you can create a slightly new hue every time just by adjusting the number and order of your layers.
✨ Is Love is in the Bare available in regular polish?
No, but perhaps there is potential for it down the line, if enough of us nail lovers request it.
✨ Is this a good bridal nail color?
I think sheer milky pink nail colors like this give the nails a soft, feminine yet subtle and elevated look, making them perfect for wedding nails.
These nails won’t overshadow the dress and the soft blush white look will pair perfectly when changing into any additional outfits needed for the post-nuptial affairs - from the evening’s cocktail hour and party to the honeymoon departure.

What I love most about this combination is how naturally the shades complement one another.
I honestly think this has become one of my favorite OPI GelColor combinations because it's timeless enough for everyday wear but polished enough for a bridal manicure.
